12.16.20 Meager tidings
There are days like today when I walk around the yard and think there is nothing to eat, especially with the dry weather, the winter garden has had a rough start. But, then I remember the little red pepper I picked yesterday. And, I see a small handful of strawberry guavas at the very top of the tree. The limes are raining down, so I grab a couple of those. And, lastly, a handful of lemon balm that is also making its comeback. I add a little olive oil, salt and pepper, and have a bright, pungent side for dinner. My guy is making scallops so this will do just fine.
