09.06.20 Four of Ten Ways to Eat Figs: Fig Mint Guava Blended Spritzer

Can you blame me? 97 degrees, surrounded by fires and crowds at the beach, I decided to cool off with a little love from our backyard with the high-yield producers of the moment. I blended 4 figs, one pineapple guava, 1/2 a lemon and a small handful of peppermint leaves with some sparkling water and several splashes of Sauvignon Blanc. Then, I faced the heat from the shade to watch a scrub jay and a house finch high up in our melaleuca.
