01.09.20 Cherimoya
I don’t know what your gold is, but the cherimoya is ours. Native to the Peruvian Andes, this fruit is sublime. It’s as if a pineapple had a little something with a guava and then they invited a banana along but it wasn’t complete until the pear showed up. We are usually glad to share our lot with the other creatures at play in the yard but not today. Our huge cherimoya only bears about 3 fruit a season and we have been watching them mature like hawks. Apparently, not well enough because we found one ravaged this morning. I ate the rest, just the way nature intended.
